Karpos Family Ministry Beliefs
We believe the Bible and only the Bible is the authoritative Word of God. We believe the scriptures are true, authoritative and sufficient for life. We believe the Bible is inspired by God and given to man.

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. They are co-equal and eternal

- God the Father -the first person of the trinity; creator of the Universe and everything in it. Eph 4:6, Matt 23:9
- God the Son -Jesus Christ the Son of God, the second person in the trinity. Jesus is 100% God and 100% man. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life, he died on the cross, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. He is the payment for man’s sin. He will return in the second coming to establish His Kingdom. Matt 1:18, John 1:1-14. Is 9:6 Luke 1:25, Is 7:14, Acts 1:9, Rev 1:7
- God the Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit, the third person in the Trinity is God. The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in the life of a believer. The Holy Spirit is in the lives of believers conforming then to be more like Christ. The Holy Spirit empowers believers and gives gifts that are listed in the Bible which always operate in accordance to the Scriptures.

Man was made in the image and likeness of God created perfect. Through Adam’s voluntary transgression, sin came into the world and redemption was needed. Romans 3:23; Eph 1:7; Gal 3:13; Ps. 111:9
Through repentance, (the turning away from sin to Jesus Christ) man can be redeemed by the Holy Spirit and the shed blood of Christ.

Salvation-We are saved by grace through repentance, by the working of the shed blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9
Sanctification- The ongoing process of yielding to God’s Word and His Spirit to complete the developing of Christ character in us.

Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism, the immersing of one in water to represent the death, burial and resurrection of the old to the new man.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit which is a power gift promised by Jesus to all believers after the new birth. We believe one of the benefits of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues.

Jesus demonstrated healing in His ministry on earth and He commissioned His disciples that one of the signs to follow believers in Him will be healing. One of the finished works of the cross is healing and it is a gift of the Spirit.

Our Father is the Source of everything that is good and perfect, it is His will that we lack no good thing. We must believe Him to help us to prosper and thrive in our spirit, soul (mentally and emotionally), and body (physically). He provides everything we need for life and godliness. (financially)

We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper through taking communion which represents Jesus body and blood that was given for all so that we walk in wholeness and healing.

We believe in marriage as it is in the Bible, that it is between one woman and one man.

Jesus Christ was conceived by God the Father through God The Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary’s womb; therefore He is the Son of God.
Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:25; Matthew 1:18
Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the Cross. Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected; those that are saved to resurrection of life and those who lost to the resurrection of eternal damnation.

Jesus Christ will return to earth visibly and physically to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a time only known by God the Father.

We believe that heaven and hell are both real places and that we will spend eternity in one place or the other depending upon our believing and confession of Jesus. Heaven is the eternal dwelling for all believers in Jesus
Christ and hell is where all unbelievers will spend eternity with the devil.

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the teaching of the word. We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church, and serve the community in which we live.
